Also referred to as Sita Kund in some local accounts, this pond adjoining Janki Mandir is believed to be where infant Sita was bathed. It has long served as a Chhath Puja ghat for the town and was recently renovated with new ghats, lighting and a landscaped garden.
Immediately adjacent to Janki Mandir, 1.8 km from the Railway Station — an easy walk from the temple complex.
