Panth-Pakar marks the spot, 8 km north-east of Sitamarhi, where local tradition holds that Sita rested under an ancient Banyan (Pakar) tree while being carried by palanquin to Ayodhya after her wedding to Lord Rama. The site remains a quiet wayside shrine venerated by pilgrims retracing her journey.

पंथ पाकड़ सीतामढ़ी से 8 किमी उत्तर-पूर्व में स्थित है, जहाँ मान्यता है कि विवाह के बाद अयोध्या ले जाते समय सीता ने एक प्राचीन बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे विश्राम किया था।

The ancient Banyan tree here is traditionally linked to Sita's wedding-procession route from Sitamarhi to Ayodhya, part of the broader network of wayside sites along her legendary journey.
